Mark Bogen is Of Counsel in the Washington, D.C. office of Labaton Keller Sucharow LLP. Mark advises leading pension funds and other institutional investors on issues related to corporate fraud in domestic and international securities markets. His work focuses on securities and consumer class action litigation, representing Taft-Hartley and public pension funds across the country.
Among his many efforts to protect his clients’ interests and maximize shareholder value, Mark helped secure a settlement with Abbott Laboratories’ directors, whereby the company agreed to implement sweeping corporate governance reforms, including an extensive compensation clawback provision going beyond the requirements under the Dodd-Frank Act.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mark served as an Assistant State Attorney and as a Special Assistant to the State Attorney’s Office in the State of Florida. Previously, he served as legal counsel to the American Association of Professional Athletes, an organization of more than 4,000 retired professional athletes. Mark also has extensive experience writing weekly legal columns for the Sun Sentinel, one of the largest daily newspapers circulated in Florida.
Mark earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola University School of Law. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois.
