Labaton Keller Sucharow has been an advocate and trusted partner on behalf of institutional investors for more than 60 years.  As a result of the significant victories the Firm has obtained for clients, Labaton Keller Sucharow has earned a reputation as a leading law firm for pension funds, asset managers, and other large institutional investors across the world.

Since the passage of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995 (PSLRA), the Firm has recovered more than $27 billion for injured investors through securities class actions prosecuted throughout the United States and against numerous public corporations and other corporate wrongdoers.

We've earned the trust of our clients and the courts, serving as lead counsel in some of the most intricate and high-profile securities fraud cases in history.  These notable recoveries would not be possible without our exhaustive case evaluation process, which allows our securities litigators to focus solely on cases with strong merits.  The benefits of our selective approach are reflected in the low dismissal rate of the securities cases we pursue, a rate well below the industry average.

Our attorneys are skilled in every stage of business litigation and have challenged corporations from every sector of the financial markets.  More than half of the Firm’s partners have trial experience. In many instances, this broad experience with every stage of litigation is supplemented by knowledge and expertise gained from prior professional experience.  For example, seven of the Firm’s partners have worked in government, including the Department of Justice.

From investigation to the litigation of claims, we work closely with our clients to provide the information and analysis necessary to fully protect their investments.  Labaton Keller Sucharow is one of the first firms in the country to have a dedicated, in-house investigations department.  The Firm stands out in the securities class action bar in that our monitoring, investigation, and litigation services are all performed in-house.

The Firm’s success is reflected in the results Labaton Keller Sucharow achieves for its clients.  Our world-class case evaluation and development services are informed by our experience serving as lead/co-lead counsel in more than 275 U.S. federal securities class actions, through which we have recovered more than $27 billion for investors.  For example, we secured noteworthy victories in cases against insurance giant AIG (more than $1 billion), healthcare provider HealthSouth ($671 million), pharmaceutical conglomerate Schering-Plough ($473 million), comprehensive waste management company Waste Management ($457 million), and energy utility SCANA ($192.5 million).  The Firm also recently secured victories on behalf of investors against Uber Technologies, Inc. ($200 million), Alexion Pharmaceuticals ($125 million), and Allstate ($90 million).
