Lisa M. Strejlau is an Associate in the New York office of Labaton Keller Sucharow LLP. Her practice focuses on securities litigation and corporate governance and shareholder rights matters. Lisa represents Taft-Hartley funds, public pension funds, and other institutional investors in domestic securities actions nationwide. She is an integral member of the Firm’s ESG Task Force and Chairs the Firm’s Associate Development Committee.
Lisa has been repeatedly recognized as a “Rising Star of the Plaintiffs Bar” by The National Law Journal’s “Elite Trial Lawyers” and a “Next Generation Lawyer” by Lawdragon. The Women in Business Law Awards named Lisa “North America: Litigation Rising Star.” In addition, Law.com’s Women, Influence, & Power in Law Awards shortlisted Lisa in the Mental Health & Well Being Initiative category for her leadership in advancing the Firm’s commitment to mentorship, inclusion, and community-building.
Lisa has litigated complex securities fraud matters against major U.S. corporations in courts across the country, at both the trial and appellate levels. She has played a key role in securing significant recoveries for investors, including Lilien v. Olaplex Holdings, Inc. ($47.5 million); In re ADT Inc. Securities Litigation ($30 million); In re Barclays PLC Securities Litigation ($19.5 million); In re BrightView Holdings, Inc. Securities Litigation ($11.5 million); John Ford, Trustee of the John Ford Trust v. UGI Corporation ($10.25 million); and In re Livent Corp. Securities Litigation ($7.4 million).
Lisa is an active member of the Federal Bar Council and the National Association of Public Pension Plan Attorneys (NAPPA). She also serves on the Character and Fitness Committee for the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Appellate Division, First Department.
Prior to joining Labaton Keller Sucharow, Lisa served in the United States Bankruptcy Court in the Southern District of New York under the Honorable Sean H. Lane, as well as in the New York County Supreme Court’s Commercial Division under the Honorable Barry Ostrager.
Lisa earned her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law, where she served as an Articles & Notes Editor for the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review and as an Associate Competition Director for the Moot Court Honor Society. She received her bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University.
