Crain's New York Business recognized Partner Carol C. Villegas in their 2023 list of Notable Women in Law.  Carol is one of 100 honorees of leading female attorneys in New York from a range of legal arenas "who are furthering justice and keeping the cogs of commerce spinning."

A Partner and the youngest litigation team leader in Labaton Keller Sucharow's history, Carol serves as Chief of Compliance, a member of the Executive Committee and Chair of the Women's Initiative.  In addition to driving the Firm's largest securities cases, Carol is also leading the headline-grabbing privacy actions against Flo Health and Amazon.  A first generation Colombian American, Carol aims to help diverse students and lawyers receive opportunities to succeed by working with advocacy groups and mentoring.  She was elected to serve as Chair of the Board of Directors of the City Bar Fund, the nonprofit arm of the New York City Bar Association.
