Delaware partner Ned Weinberger, head of Labaton’s Corporate Governance and Shareholder Rights Group, has been named to Benchmark Litigation’s 40 & Under Hot List for the second consecutive year. The list recognizes the most notable up-and-coming litigation lawyers in the United States. Honorees were chosen based on their recent case work, peer review and client feedback.
Ned’s notable achievements this year include securing settlements in shareholder litigations against Sears and The Providence Service Corporation. Ned is currently prosecuting cases against Verizon Wireless, AmTrust Financial Services and AGNC Investment Corp., and overseeing several appraisal litigations including one on behalf of former shareholders of Baker Hughes, which was merged with General Electric’s oil and gas division in 2017.
In addition to this most recent recognition, Ned has been named a Leading Lawyer by The Legal 500 and an Up-and-Coming Lawyer by Chambers USA. Labaton’s M&A Litigation Group, which is led by Ned, has also been recognized by these publications.
