NEW YORK (June 19, 2018) –The National Law Journal has named partner Jordan Thomas in its 2018 elite list of “Plaintiffs Trailblazers” for his role in the creation of the SEC’s Whistleblower Program and his leadership in developing what is considered the first national practice exclusively focused on representing SEC whistleblowers.

The publication highlighted many of Thomas’s landmark cases, including his successful representation of the first officer of a public company to receive an SEC whistleblower award, the first SEC whistleblower to receive criminal immunity and the first SEC whistleblower to receive an award because he was retaliated against. His clients were responsible for the SEC’s $415 enforcement action against Merrill Lynch and a $267 million enforcement action against JP Morgan. In the Merrill case, Jordan’s whistleblower clients received $83 million from the SEC Whistleblower Program, the largest award given to date under the program.
