Labaton Sucharow Appointed Lead Counsel in Hain Celestial Toxic Baby Food Suit

On December 28, 2021, Magistrate Judge Anne Y. Shields of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York appointed Labaton Sucharow to serve as lead counsel in a consumer class action against the organic and natural foods company Hain Celestial Group Inc. 

Hain Celestial is accused of misleading parents about the contents of its “Earth’s Best Organic” baby food, which was found to contain dangerous levels of toxic heavy metals.

In appointing lead counsel, Judge Shields noted that Firm "possesses the requisite knowledge and experience of consumer class actions."  She highlighted our success in a nationwide class action against the maker of Vita Coco alleging misleading and deceptive advertising as well as our expierience as lead counsel in a securities action against Hain Celestial, in which we recently overcame a dismissal.
