Scott Russo is the Director of Client Data Analysis in the New York office of Labaton Sucharow LLP. With 20+ years of experience in investment banking finance, consulting, and trading, Scott heads the Firm’s eight-person Data Analysis team. The team manages and monitors client portfolio information to identify investment losses related to securities fraud and specializes in securities and derivative valuation and loss calculations using court-approved loss calculation methods. The group also prepares initial assessments of class-wide damages and evaluates recoverable damages. Scott is also responsible for building, maintaining, and improving existing business intelligence and analytics tools across the firm.
Scott joined Labaton Sucharow from JP Morgan, where he was Vice President for Reporting and Analytics for the firm’s Legal Department. He managed 25 FTEs and consultants who were responsible for all reporting and associated analytics of outside counsel spend, in addition to all payments made to law firms. Prior to that, he was Executive Director, Head of Finance for the Global Research department at Morgan Stanley, where he was responsible for all aspects of global business management, financial planning and analysis, and operational risk. Scott was also Executive Director, Investment Banking Deputy Controller and Vice President, Equities Delta One Controller at Morgan Stanley. Prior to this, Scott gained experience as head trader at two family investment offices: Heyman Investment Advisors and Centurion Investment Group. He began his career as a consultant at Accenture.
Scott received his Master of Business Administration in Finance, with a concentration in Financial Markets, at New York University. He also graduated cum laude from the State University of New York at Geneseo with a Bachelor of Science in Management. Scott holds Series 7 and 24 licenses.
