Overview

Nathaniel Blakney is an Associate in the New York office of Labaton Sucharow LLP.  Nathan focuses his practice on representing investors in corporate governance and transactional matters, including class action litigation.

Prior to joining Labaton Sucharow, Nathan practiced commercial litigation at Mintz and Gold LLP.  There he defended corporate employees and advised on numerous trust and contract dispute matters.  Nathan began his career at Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, where his work focused on mortgage asset securitizations and mergers and acquisitions.

Nathan earned his Juris Doctor, as a Melvin G. Shimm Scholar, from Duke University School of Law.  While in law school, he was an Executive Editor of the Duke Environmental Law & Policy Forum, a Staff Editor of the Duke Law & Technology Review, and a member of the Duke University School of Law Human Rights Clinic.  Nathan received his master’s degree from Cambridge University and his bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania.

Nathan is fluent in Persian.
