Margaret Schmidt is an Associate in the New York office of Labaton Sucharow LLP. Margaret prosecutes securities fraud cases on behalf of institutional investors.
Margaret joined Labaton Sucharow from Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP, where she represented clients in a wide range of complex commercial litigations involving federal antitrust laws, RICO, energy laws, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duties. She previously served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Matthew W. Brann of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
Margaret earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Cornell Law School, where she served as an editor of the Journal of Law and Public Policy. She received her bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Pennsylvania State University.
