Joseph V. Halloran focuses on prosecuting complex securities fraud cases on behalf of institutional investors. As a member of the Firm's Case Development Group, he focuses on the identification, investigation, and development of potential actions to recover investment losses resulting from violations of the federal securities laws as well as various actions involving corporate and fiduciary misconduct.
Prior to joining Labaton Sucharow, Joe was a litigation associate at a national law firm. He has represented institutional and individual clients in federal and state courts across the country in securities class action, antitrust, and shareholder derivative matters, along with a variety of commercial litigation matters. His experience in securities class action include cases against SanDisk, RCS Capital Corporation, EveryWare Global, and Tetraphase Pharmaceuticals Inc.
Joe earned his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he contributed to the San Diego Journal of Climate & Energy Journal and served as a member of the Intellectual Property Law Association. He received his B.S., magna cum laude, from Boston University.
*Joe is admitted to the California and New Jersey State Bars. His application for admission to the New York State Bar is pending following his successful completion of the New York State Bar exam.
