Jeffrey R. McEachern is an Associate in the New York office of Labaton Sucharow LLP. Jeff focuses on prosecuting consumer cybersecurity and data privacy litigation, as well as complex securities fraud cases on behalf of institutional investors.
Jeff supported the team that achieved a historic $650 million settlement in In re Facebook Biometric Information Privacy Litigation—the largest consumer data privacy settlement ever and one of the first cases asserting biometric privacy rights of consumers under Illinois’ Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA).
Previously, Jeff served as a Summer Associate and Law Clerk at the Firm. Prior to joining Labaton Sucharow, served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Gerald Lebovits of the New York State Supreme Court.
Jeff earned his Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law, cum laude, where he was the Notes & Articles Editor of the Fordham Environmental Law Review. He is also a Ruth Whitehead Whaley Scholar and a recipient of the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award. Jeff earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont.
