Alisa D. Greenstein serves as Assistant General Counsel to Labaton Sucharow LLP. She is based in the Firm’s New York office. Alisa’s role includes managing a full range of compliance and contract related legal issues which affect the business, as well as playing a key role in risk management.
Alisa is the recipient of the New York State Bar Association’s Public Interest Award.
Prior to joining the Firm, Alisa was General Counsel at WeConvene, where she oversaw, drafted, and negotiated contracts on behalf of the company. She also acted as primary in-house counsel, leading the structuring, negotiating, design, and successful implementation of offering and major loan facilities. Prior to that, Alisa worked as a General Counsel at GPL Ventures, LLC. There she structured, drafted, and negotiated client vendor and subcontractor agreements.
Alisa’s pro bono experience includes working with the Westchester/Putnam Legal Services and Project DOROT.
Alisa is a member of the Juvenile Justice Committee of the New York City Bar Association and Chief Justice of the National Moot Court Competition at the New York City Bar Association.
Alisa earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she was the Senior Editor and Comments Editor for the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. She received her Bachelor of Science in Economics from Cornell University, where she was a member of Phi Kappa Phi and the Golden Key National Honor Society and graduated in the top 5% of her class.
