Charles Wood is an Associate in the New York office of Labaton Sucharow LLP. Charles focuses on prosecuting complex securities fraud cases on behalf of institutional investor clients and is part of the Firm’s Case Development Group. Charles evaluates potential actions to recover investment losses resulting from violations of the federal securities laws, and corporate and fiduciary misconduct. Charles is also a member of the team leading the Firm’s efforts to prosecute securities claims related to public offerings in state courts following the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Cyan, Inc. v. Beaver County Employees Retirement Fund.
Prior to joining Labaton Sucharow, Charles was an intern in the Enforcement Division of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and a judicial intern under the Honorable Barbara Jaffe of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Civil Term. He also has paralegal experience working in private practice.
Charles earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School, where he was Managing Editor of the Brooklyn Law Review. He received his bachelor’s degree from Columbia College.
