The Wall Street Journal reported on the $50 million award granted to two whistleblowers that provided information that helped the SEC pursue a case against JP Morgan chase that resulted in a $267 million SEC enforcement action. “These awards show how critically important whistleblowers can be to the agency’s investigation and ability to bring a case to successful and efficient resolution,” Jane Norberg, chief of the SEC’s whistleblower office, said in the statement.
