Labaton Sucharow has been appointed co-lead counsel in a class action lawsuit alleging that a Dell stock reclassification cost public investors billions of dollars. Law360 has referred to the case as a "potentially monster test of the fundamentals and landmark decisions of Delaware's corporation law." Labaton Sucharow represents lead plaintiff Steamfitters Local 449 Pension Plan.
In his order appointing the Firm, Vice Chancellor J. Travis Laster wrote "[t]he Steamfitters Group has focused on achieving the best outcome in this litigation." The Labaton Sucharow team litigating the case includes Corporate Governance and Shareholder Rights Litigation Chair Ned Weinberger, of counsel Derrick Farrell, and associates Mark Richardson and Thomas Curry.
