Labaton Sucharow Receives Top Honors in Annual
Chambers & Partners USA Rankings

NEW YORK (May 23, 2014) — For the sixth consecutive year, Chambers & Partners USA recognized Labaton Sucharow as a Band 1 (top ranking) law firm for Plaintiffs Securities Litigation Nationwide and in New York. According to Chambers, Labaton Sucharow's "effective and greatly respected" team has "a bench of partners who are highly esteemed by competitors and adversaries alike."

Particularly highlighted for the Firm's work on In re American International Group, Inc. Securities Litigation, which resulted in a total recovery surpassing $1 billion and In re Schering-Plough Corporation / ENHANCE Securities Litigation, in which a $473 million settlement was achieved on behalf of clients, Labaton Sucharow attorneys were also described by clients and peers as being "incredibly hard-working." Others said, "I know that if they're on the case there are no corners to be cut, and that we'll have to work as hard as they do. You have to bring your A-game."

Of note, Chambers also lauded Labaton Sucharow's recent work in residential mortgage-backed securities as a "particular strength" of the firm.

Clients said Dubbs "brings perspective, judgment, experience and common sense to anything he's involved in."

In the Antitrust: Plaintiff – Nationwide category, partner Jay Himes debuted in Chambers in Band 1 and was additionally ranked in New York. Described as "one of the finest plaintiffs lawyers in New York," Himes was lauded for his abilities and experience in plaintiffs' class actions.

Joining the Chambers ratings this year, Labaton Sucharow Partner in Charge of the Firm's Delaware office Christine Azar was ranked in the Chancery: Plaintiff – Delaware category. Noted as being "A-team lawyer on the plaintiff's side," Azar was said to have a "very practical approach" to matters and was described by peers as "very capable, focused and reasonable."
