"The majority of the asset management unit started the summer of 2011, and last year we brought 30% more enforcement action involving investment managers at a time when the unit was still operating at part capacity," said Jordan Thomas, chair of the whistle-blowing practice at Labaton Sucharow, who previously worked at the SEC and was one of the founding members of the unit.
