Labaton Sucharow LLP Named to The National Law Journal's Plaintiffs' Hot List for the Fourth Consecutive Year
With more than four decades of achievements, Labaton Sucharow has once again been recognized as a top plaintiffs’ firm by The National Law Journal for it’s key role in the most important securities and antitrust cases. Labaton Sucharow was one of a select group of firms profiled nationwide in this year’s ‘Plaintiffs’ Hot List.’ The list recognizes plaintiffs’ firms that have done exemplary, cutting-edge work on the plaintiffs’ side.
In 2009 to date, the Firm has recovered over $425 million for plaintiffs in securities class action and antitrust cases. The National Law Journal highlighted three of the Firm's landmark wins including In re American Int'l Group Inc. Sec. Litig. ($97.5 million settlement with accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers International Ltd.), In re HealthSouth Corp. Sec. Litig. ($109 million settlement with accounting firm Ernst & Young Global Ltd.- the eighth largest settlement with an outside auditor), and In re TriCor Indirect Purchasers Antitrust Litig. ($65.7 million settlement of its share of claims that individuals and insurers paid an inflated amount for TriCor, a leading cholesterol medication).
The 'Hot List' was based on a survey of the litigation scene over the past 12 months. Readers were asked to nominate plaintiffs’ firms with at least one significant win within the last year, as well as an impressive record of victories over the preceding five years.
