Firm Recognized by The Legal 500 Guide of Leading Law Firms for the Fifth Consecutive Year
NEW YORK (June 1, 2011) — For the fifth consecutive year, The Legal 500, the world's largest legal referral guide, has ranked Labaton Sucharow LLP as one of the top plaintiffs' firms in the Securities Class Action Litigation field in the U.S. This year, Labaton Sucharow is one of the top two firms to receive this distinction.
The Legal 500 US Litigation guide notes that the firm "remains a formidable force representing institutional investors in securities class action litigation, having secured recovery settlements of $1.8bn in 2010 alone. According to the guide, Labaton Sucharow "has had a pivotal role in actions against significant players such as Goldman Sachs, Bear Stearns and Morgan Stanley."In addition to Labaton Sucharow's firm-wide recognition, The Legal 500 acknowledged Chairman Lawrence A. Sucharow and Senior Partner Thomas A. Dubbs as "Leading lawyers," an honor they share with only four other plaintiffs' securities lawyers nationwide. Partners Mark S. Arisohn, Eric J. Belfi, Joel H. Bernstein, and Christopher J. Keller were selected to the 'recommended list' in the field of securities litigation.
For the second consecutive year, The Legal 500 also recognized Labaton Sucharow's Antitrust Practice Group for how it "maintains high visibility in major antitrust class actions" and quotes clients as saying that the firm "clearly has the horsepower to manage complex and demanding cases."
