Labaton Sucharow, as co-lead counsel, obtained over $22 million in settlements to resolve this lawsuit on behalf of a proposed class of plaintiffs who purchased construction flat glass directly from defendants. The Court finally approved the settlements on May 16, 2011.
In this litigation, plaintiffs alleged that, between July 1, 2002 and December 31, 2006, defendants participated in a conspiracy to unlawfully fix prices charged for construction flat glass, as well as related energy surcharges, in violation of the federal antitrust laws. "Construction Flat Glass" includes glass used in windows for residential homes and commercial structures, as well as architectural products such as office panels and doors. The case was before the Honorable Donetta W. Ambrose in the Western District of Pennsylvania.
