The American Association for Justice will host an Opioid Litigation Seminar on September 13-14, 2017 in Washington, D.C. This event will inform attendees the role big pharmaceutical companies have played in the widespread epidemic and how the medical community is reacting. It will also provide information on pending lawsuits and underlying legal theories, and what attorneys can do to help clients and communities who have become victims of the opioid epidemic.
Partner Michael P. Canty will serve on a panel titled, “Federal Prosecutor’s Viewpoint,” and walk through his experience as a federal prosecutor and depth of experience in the enforcement arena. Michael will also discuss a number of complex and high-profile cases that he has worked on regarding the distribution of prescription opioids.
