Overview
As Director of Financial Analysis and a member of Labaton Sucharow's Case Evaluation Team, William H. Schervish works to identify and analyze areas of potential misconduct that may expose the Firm's institutional investor clients to risk or damage. Bill also plays a key role in the Firm's Whistleblower Representation Practice where he evaluates potential cases and assists in the preparation of whistleblower submissions to the Securities and Exchange Commission.
With over a decade of experience in accounting and finance, Bill is also an attorney with extensive knowledge of derivative transactions, asset-backed securitizations and collateralized debt obligations.
Prior to joining the Firm, Bill worked as a finance attorney at Mayer Brown LLP, where he drafted and analyzed credit default swaps, indentures and offering documents. Bill's professional background also includes several positions in accounting and finance, specifically in controllership, taxation and commodity trading. He began his career as a financial auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Bill received a B.S., cum laude, in Business Administration from Miami University in 1994, where he was a member of the Business and Accounting Honor Societies. He earned a J.D., cum laude, from Loyola University in 2007.
Bill is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Fraud Examiner and a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He is admitted to practice in New York.
