William H. Schervish has more than 10 years' experience in accounting and finance. He also is an attorney with experience in structured finance, with a concentration on derivative transactions, asset-backed securitizations and collateralized debt obligations. At Labaton Sucharow, Mr. Schervish is a member of the Firm's Case Evaluation team and is primarily responsible for uncovering and analyzing new cases.
Prior to joining Labaton Sucharow, Mr. Schervish was a finance attorney at Mayer Brown LLP, where he drafted and analyzed credit default swaps, indentures and offering documents.
Before becoming an attorney, Mr. Schervish held several positions in accounting and finance, specifically in controllership, taxation, and commodity trading. He began his career as a financial auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Mr. Schervish earned a B.S., cum laude, in Business Administration from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he was a member of both the Business and Accounting Honor Societies. He earned a J.D., cum laude, from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois.
Mr. Schervish is a licensed certified public accountant. He is admitted to practice in New York.
