Overview

With nearly three decades of investigative experience, including 25 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Emilio F. Blasse serves as a member of the Firm's Investigative Team. His primary responsibilities include developing and conducting investigations for the Firm's complex litigation matters.

Prior to joining Labaton Sucharow, Emilio was with Pricewaterhouse Coopers where he was the Senior Manager of Financial Advisory Services. Prior to that, Emilio was the Senior Manager of the Global Financial Crimes Compliance Unit at JPMorgan Chase, where he directed and managed investigations and coordinated with regulatory agencies.

Emilio began his career with the FBI in 1988 and worked numerous Financial Crime Investigations. As a Supervisory Special Agent, he directed and managed investigations to identify, prevent, and disrupt foreign and domestic attacks on U.S. infrastructure and financial information systems. During his tenure at FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C., he administered and led many reviews to ensure security and investigative programs were in compliance with established Congressional, Department of Justice, and FBI policies and procedures. Additionally, he served in the FBI Intelligence Division, where he provided strategic direction and tactical oversight of program objectives to over 300 employees. Emilio later served as the Chief Security Officer Supervisory Special Agent, in which he managed the New York Internal Investigation Team, the New York Joint Operations Center, Community Outreach Program, Security Unit, Training Unit, and Polygraph Unit.


After earning his B.S. from Brooklyn College, Emilio attended the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University for Leadership and Management. He is a Certified Public Accountant and is certified in Financial Forensics. He is also an active member of the American Society for Industrial Security.
