Updated: January 23, 2015
Status: Ongoing Case
In Yap, a product liability action, the plaintiffs claim that the blood thinner Xarelto has extremely adverse effects and risks - including irreversible bleeding and death - and that the manufacturers, Bayer and Johnson & Johnson, never properly advised customers about these risks.

The case is Yap as Executrix for the Estate et. al, No. 15-cv-0084, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California.

Xarelto is an anti-coagulant developed by Bayer and Johnson & Johnson. It was approved in the U.S. for various uses, including reducing the risk of blood clots in the legs and lungs of people who have had knee or hip replacement surgery.
