Labaton Sucharow LLP is among the counsel in this lawsuit, which was filed on behalf of a proposed class of Plaintiffs who purchased potash directly from Defendants, major suppliers of this product.
Plaintiffs allege that, between January 1, 2003 and the present, Defendants participated in a global conspiracy to illegally fix the prices of and allocate the market for potash sold in the United States and other major markets around the world. Potash, a product of mining operations, is used primarily in agricultural fertilizers to help crops fight disease and to enhance crop yields. The case is pending before the Honorable Ruben Castilloin the Northern District of Illinois.
Defendants have filed motions to dismiss Plaintiffs’ Consolidated Amended Complaint. The motions have been fully briefed and the parties are awaiting a decision from the Court.
