National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Antitrust Litigation

Labaton Sucharow LLP serves on the Executive Committee on behalf of a proposed class of Plaintiffs who played Division I football and men’s basketball.

Plaintiffs allege that the NCAA and its licensing arm, the Collegiate Licensing Company, have conspired to illegally fix prices and refused to deal with former student-athletes who played NCAA Division I football and men’s basketball. As a result, former student-athletes whose images have been licensed or sold by Defendants have been deprived of royalties to which they otherwise would have been entitled. The case is pending before the Honorable Claudia Wilken in the Northern District of California.

Plaintiffs filed their initial complaint on July 21, 2009.
