In re Air Cargo Shipping Services Antitrust Litigation - Partial Settlement

Labaton Sucharow LLP, as Co-Lead Counsel, obtained an $85 million partial settlement with Defendant Lufthansa Air Cargo in In re Air Cargo Shipping Services Antitrust Litigation. Subsequently, in the summer of 2010, Plaintiffs obtained an additional $104 million in partial settlements from Defendants Air France ($87 million), Japan Airline International ($12 million) and American Airlines ($5 million).

In this litigation, Plaintiffs allege that Defendants participated in a global conspiracy to unlawfully inflate the prices charged to ship goods by air between January 1, 2000 and the present. The case is pending before the Honorable John Gleeson in the Eastern District of New York.

The Court finally approved the Lufthansa settlement on September 25, 2009. For additional information about this settlement, please visit www.aircargosettlement.com. The Court has not yet approved the remaining settlements and the case continues against the remaining Defendants.
