Thomas A. Dubbs of the New Mexico State Investment Council, a lawyer for the lead plaintiff in the current suit, said after the hearing that the lawsuit against E&Y would likely be the final class action related to Broadcom's backdating scheme.
"We believe the judge accurately interpreted Ninth Circuit law," he said. "We look forward to prosecuting this action, which is the last of the backdating cases we're aware of."
