Labaton Sucharow Promotes Trio of Attorneys

NEW YORK (July 20, 2016)  — Labaton Sucharow LLP is pleased to announce the promotion of Ned Weinberger to partner as well as Marisa N. DeMato and Christine M. Fox to of counsel, effective July 1, 2016. All three attorneys were previously associates at the Firm.

Based in Labaton Sucharow’s Wilmington, Delaware office, partner Ned Weinberger focuses on representing investors in corporate governance and transactional matters, including class action and derivative litigation. He was recently recognized by Chambers & Partners USA in the Delaware Court of Chancery as an “Associate to Watch” in 2016, noting his impressive range of practice areas.

Of counsel Marisa N. DeMato serves as an integral member of the Firm’s Client Development Team, focusing on complex securities class actions, counseling clients on best practices in the corporate governance of publicly traded companies, and advising foundations and endowment funds on monitoring the well-being of their investments. She also advises municipalities and health plans on issues related to potential violations of U.S. antitrust law. 

Of counsel Christine M. Fox prosecutes complex securities fraud cases on behalf of institutional investors. Fox was a key member of the team that achieved favorable settlements in Nu Skin ($47 million recovery), CVS ($48 million recovery), and Barrick Gold ($140 million recovery). She is actively involved in prosecuting cases against Intuitive Surgical and Horizon Pharma, among others.
