Labaton Sucharow Promotes Four Securities Class Action Litigators
NEW YORK (August 1, 2014) – Labaton Sucharow LLP is pleased to announce today the promotion of New York office attorneys Serena Hallowell and Thomas G. Hoffman, Jr. to partner. Additionally, associate Michael H. Rogers was promoted to of counsel. All promotions are effective as of August 1, 2014.
- Partner Serena Hallowell played a principal role in prosecuting In re Computer Sciences Corporation Securities Litigation, which resulted in a $97.5 million recovery. She’s currently prosecuting In re CVS Securities Litigation, In re Intuitive Surgical Securities Litigation and In re Barrick Gold Securities Litigation. Hallowell was formerly an associate at the Firm.
- Partner Thomas G. Hoffman, Jr. is actively involved in prosecuting In re BP plc Securities Litigation, In re Fannie Mae 2008 Securities Litigation and In re Facebook, Inc. IPO Securities and Derivative Litigation. Most recently, he was part of the Labaton Sucharow team that recovered more than $1 billion in the eight-year litigation against AIG and related defendants. Hoffman was formerly of counsel at the Firm.
- Of counsel Michael H. Rogers is actively involved in prosecuting In re Goldman Sachs, Inc. Securities Litigation and Arkansas Teacher Retirement System v. State Street Corp. Rogers has been a member of the lead or co-lead counsel teams in federal securities class actions against Countrywide Financial Corp. ($624 million settlement), HealthSouth Corporation ($671 million settlement) and Mercury Interactive Corp. ($117.5 million settlement). Rogers was formerly an associate at the Firm.
