Labaton Sucharow Chairman Lawrence A. Sucharow comments on the evolution of post-PSLRA securities litigation law

After turning “the new playing field to their advantage, developing relationships with institutional clients that allowed them to score lead-counsel appointments,” law firms including Labaton Sucharow were part of what The Recorder calls “the new guard,” taking more time filing cases.

“We decided we wanted to stay in the field, and we figured out what needed to be done to do it,” Sucharow said, regarding the Firm’s efforts to uncover evidence that would hold up under the stricter pleading requirements.
