Joel H. Bernstein discusses identity protection and privacy laws in recent website breach

In an article regarding the likelihood of litigious success in several data breach lawsuits arising from website hacks potentially exposing consumer financial information, Firm partner Joel H. Bernstein commented generally on what people could do help protect themselves in the future.

“Assuming financial information is out there, everybody would benefit from getting credit monitoring and identify protection services,” said Bernstein, whose firm, Labaton Sucharow, filed a class action suit on behalf of more than 20 million governments workers over the Office of Personnel Management breach.
