Labaton Sucharow LLP Named to The National Law Journal's Plaintiffs' Hot List for the Third Consecutive Year

The National Law Journal named Labaton Sucharow LLP to its 2008 “Plaintiffs’ Hot List” for the third consecutive year. Labaton Sucharow was one of a select group of firms profiled nationwide in this year’s list. The list recognizes plaintiffs’ firms that have done exemplary, cutting-edge work on the plaintiffs’ side. 

During the past 12 months, Labaton Sucharow has recovered more than $700 million for plaintiffs in securities class action and antitrust cases. The National Law Journal cited three of the Firm’s most notable securities and antitrust class action victories including In re General Motors Corp. Securities Litigation ($303 million settlement and  25th largest securities fraud settlement), In re Monster Worldwide Inc. Securities Litigation ($47.5 million settlement agreement, believed to be the fifth-largest options backdating recovery), and In re Abbott Laboratories Norvir Antitrust Litigation ($27.5 million settlement to be distributed to the class and to AIDS charitable organizations).

The “Hot List” was based on a survey of the litigation scene over the past 12 months. Readers were asked to nominate plaintiffs’ firms with at least one significant win within the last year, as well as an impressive record of victories over the preceding five years.
