Practising Law Institute’s Securities Litigation 2018 Conference: From Investigation to Trial

Practising Law Institute will host its annual securities litigation meeting on April 4, 2018 in New York, NY to discuss how the landscape of securities litigation is constantly evolving and changing. This program will take attendes through all the issues that can arise in the most complex securities matters—from the initial government investigation to the filing of the civil cases to either settlement or trial. Panel discussions will be led by leading practitioners, government officials, and judges in the securities sector. 

Partner and General Counsel Jonathan Gardner will serve on the panel titled, "Prosecuting and Defending the Civil Action: Class Certification, Fact Discovery, Experts and Summary Judgment Motions in Securities Litigation." The panel will discuss recent developments in class certification standards, strategies for fact discovery, preparing and presenting an expert, and how to craft an effective summary judgment motion.
