Civic Capitalism: Towards a New Relation With Investors

The International Financial Litigation Network (IFLN), Euro LatamLex, World Federation of Investors, and the Spanish Association of Minority Shareholders of Listed Companies (AEMEC) will host its international meeting in Madrid, Spain on November 17 – 18, 2016. Lawyers, investors, directors of listed companies, and markets regulators will discuss the current challenges that investors face and the future of the international finance and litigation.

Chairman Lawrence A. Sucharow will participate in a panel titled, “Volkswagen: Consumer Fraud, Environmental Harm, and Impact on the Investor.” This segment will elaborate on the latest news regarding the various conflicts surrounding Volkswagen and their investor lawsuits.

The IFLN was formed to address the need for greater collaboration among courts and lawyers in managing cross-border litigation. The network is composed of more than 20 law firms in 18 countries.
