New York, NY
October 20, 2015
Alliance for Justice (AFJ) will honor Labaton Sucharow partner Edward Labaton during their annual Champions for Justice Benefit Gala in New York on Tuesday, October 20, at The Yale Club of New York City. The reception begins at 6:00 PM, followed by the dinner and program at 7:00 PM.
For more than 50 years, Ed has been a champion of consumer rights and a stalwart protector of our civil justice system. As a tireless litigator, he has prosecuted complex, class action litigation to vindicate investors' rights and enforce our federal securities and antitrust laws.
The Champions for Justice Benefit Gala is the signature annual benefit of the AFJ that pays tribute to an outstanding individual whose life and work exemplifies the principle of equal justice. This year’s event supports AFJ’s Justice Programs, dedicated to preserving access to the courts for all and protecting and ensuring the ability of everyday Americans to actively participate in our civic institutions and the democratic process.
Key speakers at the event will include New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, Editor and Publisher of The Nation, Katrina vanden Heuvel, and Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein LLP partner, Elizabeth Cabraser.
